mostrar su trabajo a comisarios y editores especializados en
fotografÃa. Este programa se celebra en Madrid desde 1998 y este año,
con el apoyo de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para
el Desarrollo (AECID), se celebrará además el visionado de porfolios en
Lima y en México DF.

The “Prix de la Photographie, Paris” (Px3) strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris. Winning photographs from this competition are displayed in Paris and published in the high-quality, full-color Px3 Annual Book.
Categories: Advertising, Photojournalism, Book, Book Proposals, Fine Art, Nature and Portraiture.
Both professional and non-professional photographers compete for the top award, the Px3 Photographer of the Year and 3,000 Euros. The winner’s work is publicized internationally, receives the spotlight at all events, is exhibited in Paris, and published in the Px3 Annual Book.Non-professional photographers compete for the Px3 Best New Talent Award and 2,000 Euros.The winner’s work is publicized and exhibited in Paris and published in the Px3 Annual Book.

The upcoming Exposure Project Book will compile work culled from an open call for submissions. They are asking photographers working in any facet of the medium to send the following:
-5-7 Low Res JPEG’s sized @ 72 dpi
-These images should reflect the vision of an ongoing, or recently completed body of work
-In addition, send a brief artist statement which corresponds to the work submitted
They are also hoping to publish literary works in addition to the photographs chosen. If you have written an essay, article, review, or conducted an interview that is in some way related to photography. Proposals for unwritten works can also be submitted; simply send Microsoft Word formatted material in an e-mail.
Deadline for submissions is: Monday, January 5th, 2009
All submitted material should be sent to ben@theexposureproject.com. Â Selected photographers and authors will be notified of acceptance no later than February 1st.
